I seem to be having a run on visiting scenic reservoirs at the moment. On Monday just gone I drove up to Northumberland and spent a couple of hours testing equipment at the Whittle Dene reservoirs that form part of the water supply for Newcastle. As seems to be the case this summer, the weather stayed good and as the five reservoirs were all close together then I had a valid excuse to traipse between them. I am not sure what it is but when I am by water the world seems calmer. Doesn't matter if that is an ocean, a lake, a reservoir or a decent cup of tea, as long as liquid is nearby, I'm good.
